Northeast Henna *AND BELLYDANCE* Gathering

We are thrilled to announce that the Northeast Henna Gathering is now the Northeast Henna and Bellydance Gathering. Dance teachers from all over New England are teaching workshops on everything from foundations to improvisation to hand and arm movements!
Also, the Gathering has moved to a GORGEOUS venue - The Dark Lady, 124 Snow St, Providence, RI. This is just 15 minutes down the road from where it was originally going to be... so your long-ish distance travel plans shouldn't really be affected. The venue is FABULOUS (truly gorgeous - you MUST come see the deep red and gold walls, the chandeliers...) and has a real dance floor, a nice sound system, and some *very* comfy furniture.

I am the artist of that artwork you used here - did you ask permission? I do charge a fee for using it - and there isn't even any credit to me. Please respond to lacychenault@gmail.com in a timely manner

Hi Lacy!
So glad that you have let me know who you are! You do beautiful work! As I posted on the website where the Northeast Henna and Bellydance Gathering info for last year was (but now no longer is, as we're putting together stuff for the upcoming year), I was actively seeking who did the artwork, as I had found it on a bellydancer's MySpace profile with no credit.
Unfortunately, the Internet Archive Wayback machine only archived this page in 2007 and never in 2008, so I can't show you this... but the request for anyone to let me know how to get in touch with the original artist was definitely there in 2008!
I did ask the bellydancer whose profile it originated on if she knew who I should ask for permission to use the photo and/or give credit and a link to, but she didn't know its source...
I definitely used the image in good faith and made a very active, public effort to find its source...
So, given that...
Would you rather I take the image down from my blog (the only place it remains on my site), or keep it up and add a link to your website? Either would be completely fine with me.
Thanks again for getting in touch,
Heather
